The benefits of taking violin lessons
Although the violin is the smallest when it comes to other bowed string instruments, it can emit the highest sounds. This incredible instrument appeared in northern Italy in the 16th century and received great appreciation from the public. Due to its special timbre qualities, it is placed at the forefront of orchestral instruments. Being one of the most complex untempered instruments, it develops a fine and very good hearing for the person who plays it. Just like other instruments, the violin helps to develop logical thinking as well as excellent coordination skills between limbs, eyes and body.
Other important benefits of taking violin lessons include:

  • Improves your overall mental health, reduces stress and anxiety. It has been proved that it helps children who battle psychological disorders.
  • Improves your social skills. From being an excellent conversation point to helping you gain self-discipline and self-esteem, taking regular violin lessons gives you amazing benefits that will help you grow emotionally and adjust to certain social situations.
  • Improves your posture. A sedentary way of life leaves many of us with unhealthy spines and terrible, pain-inducing posture. Playing the violin is one of the instruments that require a good posture. Learning how to stand properly when playing the violin as well as a continuous practice, can help you improve and experience the benefits of a better posture.
